How Does XDPE/400 Implement Logical Processing?

You need two different PCL packets, one Logical Processing (LPP) packet and one resource list.

One PCL packet is the normal PCL packet that defines the default page formatting. This is called the job level packet.

The other PCL packet defines the formatting for the pages that differ from the default. This is called the page level packet.

The LPP packet defines the logical processing test and identifies the page level packet.

The resource list identifies the LPP packet and the job level packet.

The spool file attributes packet data field identifies the resource list.
