Note: You must be a System Administrator to perform this procedure as it may require administrator privileges and/or knowledge of your network settings.
Step 1: Ping the Xerox device to determine if there is a duplicate IP Address
Disconnect the Ethernet / network cable from the Xerox device.
Ping the IP Address assigned to the Xerox device. For additional information, click on Ping the Printer.
If a reply is received when you ping the device, there is a duplicate IP address on your network. Contact your System Administrator for additional assistance to resolve the duplicate IP address.
If there is no reply when you ping the device, additional assistance is required. Contact your System Administrator for additional assistance to resolve the network issue.
Plug the Ethernet / network cable back into the Xerox device.
Step 2: Assign a new IP Address to the Xerox device if a duplicate IP address is found
For additional information, click on Configure, Modify or Verify TCP/IP Settings (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway Address).
