Enable or Disable the Remote Control Panel

The Remote Control Panel allows you to access the control panel of the printer from a Web browser.

  1. Login as Administrator at the Embedded Web Server (EWS). For additional information, click on Access and Login or Logout as System Administrator at the Control Panel or Embedded Web Server (EWS).

  2. In the Embedded Web Server, click Support→Remote Control Panel or click Home→Remote Control Panel.

  3. For Configuration, click Edit.

  4. For Enablement, select Enable, then select an option:

    • For Admin only: This option allows system administrators to access the Remote Control Panel.

    • For Admin and Diagnostics Users Only: This option allows system administrators and Xerox representatives to access the Remote Control Panel.

    • For All Users: This option allows all users to access the Remote Control Panel.

  5. To disable, remove the check mark from the Enable check box. 

  6. Click Save.

  7. To restrict other users from accessing the control panel when you are connected, select Block device control panel. If a user attempts to access the control panel, a message appears.

  8. To access the control panel remotely, click Start Remote Session.

  9. Logout as Administrator at EWS.
