NOTE: Steps to open the Printers or Printers and Faxes window may vary depending on how the OS has been configured. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional assistance.
Windows 10 OS:
Right click on the [Start Menu] button, and select [Control Panel] from the list.
Click on the [Devices and Printers] link. The Devices and Printers window will be displayed.
Windows 8 OS:
Open the Control Panel window on the desktop.
Click on the [Hardware and Sound] link, and then the [Devices and Printers] link. The Devices and Printers window will be displayed.
Windows 7 OS:
Click on the [Start] button, and then click on [Control Panel]. The Control Panel window will be displayed.
Double-click on the [Devices and Printers] icon.
NOTE: If the View by option is set to "Category", click on the [View devices and printers] link under the Hardware and Sound section.
Windows Vista OS:
In the Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, and then click on [Control Panel]. The Control Panel window will be displayed.
Click on the [Printers] link in the Hardware and Sound section. The Printers window will be displayed.
In the Classic Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings], and then click on [Printers]. The Printers window will be displayed.
Windows 2003 Server OS:
In the Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
In the Classic Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings], and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
Windows XP Professional:
In the Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
In the Classic Start Menu Mode:
Click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings], and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
Windows XP Home Edition OS:
Click on the [Start] button, click on [Control Panel], and then click on [Printers and Faxes]. The Printers and Faxes window will be displayed.
Windows 2000 Professional or 2000 Server OS:
Click on the [Start] button, click on [Settings] (if necessary), and then click on [Printers]. The Printers window will be displayed.
