Printing a test page from the print driver will help determine if the print driver is functioning properly.
NOTE: Apple Macintosh computers do not have a Print Test page button in the print driver like Microsoft Windows print drivers. To test print functionality on an Apple Macintosh, use an OS built in program like TextEdit with "This is a test" written on the page.
Print a Test Page From the Print Driver on a Microsoft Windows OS:
Open the Printers and Faxes window. See the Related Content for additional information.
Right click on the required printer icon and select Printer Properties from the popup menu.
If necessary, click on the General tab.
Click on Print Test Page. The test page is submitted to the device.
Click OK or Cancel to close the window.
If the test page prints successfully, additional troubleshooting is required. Contact support.
If the test page does not print, the issue is with the print driver. Uninstall the print driver then install the required print driver for the device. If you are printing through a print server, your System / Network Administrator will be required to uninstall and re-install the print driver. If necessary, contact your System / Network Administrator for additional assistance. See the Related Content for additional information.
