Use a New Ream of Paper

Paper left unwrapped for long periods of time can absorb excessive moisture. Excessive moisture can lead to paper jams and image quality problems. Protect unused paper by storing the paper in its original wrapper, on a flat surface, until you are ready to use it.

When loading paper from a new ream of paper be sure to load the paper in the direction indicated on the paper wrapper. The direction is typically indicated by an arrow located on the paper wrapper label.
