Power OFF, Then Power ON the Printer

  1. Power OFF the printer using the power switch located under the interface cover on the right side of the printer.

  2. Wait 10 seconds after powering OFF the printer, and then press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Standard Shutdown] on the Display Screen.

    NOTE: The printer will automatically select whichever item was highlighted on the Display Screen, if a selection is not made on the Control Panel in 30 seconds, and then power OFF appropriately. The two available options are 'Standard Shutdown' or 'Shut Down for Moving Printer.'

    CAUTION: If you receive a 'Power Down Error-Head not Parked' message on the Display Screen, the printer is not ready to be moved. If the printhead is not locked, the printer can be damaged during shipment.

  3. If the printer is displaying unreliable behavior, wait 30 seconds after all printer movement has stopped, then disconnect any interface cables connected to the printer (USB, Ethernet). This is to separate the printer from other communication devices.

  4. Power ON the printer with the interface cables disconnected.

  5. If the printer powers ON in the normal manner, re-connect the interface cables.
