The following solution contains a specific procedure that is used to power the printer with the Integrated EFI Fiery Controller off and on.
Power off the printer using the power switch on the right front corner of the printer.
Watch for the User Interface LEDs and Touch Screen display on the printer to power off completely before proceeding. This can take 30 to 40 seconds from when the power was turned off.
Make sure the Integrated Fiery Controller has powered off by checking that the LED in the small push button on the end of the Controller has turned off.
NOTE: The Fiery Controller can take 60 seconds to power off from the point when the printer was first powered off.
NOTE: If the Fiery Controller does not power off on its own (LED in the push button remains lit green), press and hold the small push button on the Controller until the LED in the push button turns off, then release the push button. Reseat the cables.
CAUTION: Do not power off the Fiery Controller with the rocker switch that is positioned to the right of the small push button or power connector. Use of the rocker switch will “crash” the Controller and can damage the system software in the Controller. The rocker switch must always remain in the ON position for the Controller to function properly.Power the printer on using the power switch located on the right front corner of the printer.
Make sure that the Fiery Controller has powered on with the printer by checking that the LED in the small push button on the end of the Controller has turned on (lit green).
NOTE: If the Fiery Controller does not power on within 30 seconds after the printer has powered on, press and release the small push button on the end of the Controller to manually power the Controller on.
NOTE: It may take a few minutes for the printer and the EFI Fiery to fully boot up.
