Clean the Fuser Assembly With Paper

This procedure uses the “Clean with Paper” method and does not require administrator login.
Note: If you still notice contaminants on the back of the prints after running this procedure, contact your Xerox Service Representative. Dry ink / toner debris may be coming from the transfer roll area instead of the fuser.
Press the Machine Status button on the User Interface.
Select the Tools tab on the screen.
From the left hand menu select Setup & Adjustments or Setup & Calibration.
From the Group menu select Clean Fuser Assembly. (You many need to scroll down to find.)
From the screen that displays, specify the paper tray to use and the number of blank sheets to print for the "Clean with Paper" method of removing unfused dry ink/toner.
For Paper Supply, select the paper tray to use.
Note: Although you can use any type and size of paper, the smooth surface of coated paper has more contact area to the pressure roll.From Number of Sheets, select the number of blank sheets to print (1 to 5).
Note: For best results, run a minimum of 5 sheets. The process with 5 sheets of paper will take approximately one minute.Select Save.
Press the Start button. The system begins the cleaning process and displays a "successfully completed" message when Finished.
Note: When running five sheets of paper, the process takes approximately one minute.
When the cleaning process is finished, a “Completed Successfully” message displays.Select Ok.
