Usage Recommendation

Coated stocks

Digital Copier/Printer: Feeding and handling not supported. Do not use.

Paper weight range

• Normal - 56gsm to 84gsm (ex: standard copier paper, inkjet paper)
• Medium - 85gsm to 105gsm (ex:slightly heavier than Normal. Good for brochures, advertisements)
• Heavy - 106gsm to 216gsm (index cards, cover stock, posters)

Drilled stocks

If you are loading any type of drilled paper, to aid in sheet separation and to prevent jams, it may be helpful to fan reams before loading into the tray.

Transparency or Mylar reinforced sheets

Loading limit in Paper Feeder trays: 50 sheets.

Removable stripe transparencies

Loading limit in Paper Feeder trays: 50 sheets.

NOTE: The paper path/sensors in the Xerox Nuvera do not require that you feed transparencies with removable stripes. If you have this type of media, you can use it, but the stripe is not necessary for proper function.

NOTE: For dedicated transparency trays, first place approximately half an inch (12 mm) worth of plain paper at the bottom of the tray. This will ensure that all 50 of the transparencies get used.

• For 1 to N printing order, load with top (white) sheet on top
• For N to 1 printing order, load with top (white) sheet at the bottom

Booklet Envelope (closed flap)

  **More than 15 envelopes can be output to the tray, as long as the tray is tended and emptied every 10-15 envelopes.

Catalog Envelope (open flap)

• Loading orientation: Address side up and and flap oriented towards operator.

Window stock

Do Not Use.

Preprinted materials

• Do not print on either side of preprinted Xerographic color input material.
• Print on the same side or the opposite side of the color image for preprinted offset color input material.

DocuCards

• 8.5"x11" DocuCard sheet with a single card
• Fed from paper trays 3 & 4 ONLY
• DocuCards loaded short edge on the left with the card positioned to the right in the trays.
• Loading capacity 50 sheets

Paper backed transparencies

Loaded with side to be imaged facing up, and glued end to the left.

Mixed size sheet handling in Document Feeder and Multi-Function Finisher

Requires the same IB/OB dimension for all sheets.
