Required Action: To continue Secure Automated Meter Reads and Toner Replenishment (ASR), install the most current version of Device Manager to adhere to security requirements. See the Related Content for a link which includes additional information and the Device Manager Software download. If your printer is not listed, the Device Manager is appropriate for use.
Note: The most current version of Device Manager uses industry standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to retrieve the device data and securely transmit it to the Xerox Communication Servers.
Note: If the Device Manager has been installed, and communication is not established restart your search with the displayed fault, message, or key words.
Starting May 2019, this product must use a device manager, such as Xerox Centre Ware Web Software, Xerox Device Agent, Xerox Device Agent Partner Edition, and Xerox Device Manager for Remote Services.
For additional information refer to Requirements for Remote Services on Printers Not Able to Use SHA-2 Authentication
